Scale Dev
We develop MVP in 15 days | web & mobile development agency
scale-dev.comWhat They're Known For
I worked with Scale Dev to get an MVP off the ground and have spoken to a couple of founders who used them too, so I can give a pretty practical take. What they actually deliver well is speed with a clear focus on a small, achievable scope. Their 15-day pitch isn't just marketing theatre — they run very tight sprints aimed at producing a usable prototype or a minimally functional app (web + mobile) rather than a fully polished product. In my experience that means they lean on proven patterns, pre-built components, and well-understood integrations to get core flows working quickly (signup/login, basic CRUD, a couple of API integrations). Their engineers are pragmatic and good at turning a set of prioritized features into something you can demo or test with users fast.
Best For
They’re the right choice when you need a fast proof-of-concept: pre-seed founders who want a demo for investors, teams that need to validate a hypothesis with real users, or internal teams who need a clickable, working prototype to inform product direction. They do well on projects with a tightly constrained feature list, clear user flows, and a single platform (or a simple web + companion mobile). If your main goal is speed to validate an idea or to get a clickable product into testers’ hands, they’ll save you weeks compared with a traditional build.
How They Work
How they work is very sprint-driven and communication-heavy. Expect a short discovery session up front where scope is locked, then daily or every-other-day check-ins during the 15 days. They push for quick decisions from the client — design choices or tradeoffs are often made on the fly so the engineering team can keep moving. They tend to use standard stacks and third-party services to accelerate development (authentication providers, payment or analytics integrations, cloud backends). The team I worked with used a PM to keep things on track and delivered incremental builds you could test as they progressed, which was useful for catching misunderstandings early.

Considerations
There are a few things to consider before you sign on. The tradeoff for speed is technical debt: architecture choices are optimized for short-term delivery, so you should budget time and money for refactoring if you plan to scale. UX/UI polish can be functional but not bespoke — expect something clean and usable, not a hand-crafted pixel-perfect design. Pricing is usually reasonable for a fast turnaround but can feel premium if you expect ongoing customization after delivery; they often price by fixed-scope sprints, so scope creep can get expensive. Also clarify deliverables (do you get the repo, documentation, CI/CD setup, env configs?) and post-launch support and bug-fix windows. Testing tends to be pragmatic rather than exhaustive; if you need enterprise-grade QA, you’ll want to add that separately.
When to Look Elsewhere
If you need a long-lived, highly scalable backend, complex real-time systems, strict security/compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI at enterprise level), deeply custom UI/UX work, or an app that requires heavy data engineering, look elsewhere. They’re not the right fit for multi-month platform builds where architecture and maintainability are the top priorities. Also avoid them if you’re not available for rapid decision-making — their process assumes you can answer questions quickly or the 15-day timeline will suffer.
